The Lonely Landy

     One day, there was a porcupine named landy. He was lonely. No one wanted to play with him, because they afraid of his spikes.

“dear landy, we don’t want to play with you because your spikes are too sharp. We don’t want you to hurt us,” said cici the rabbit one day.

“cici is right, landy, it is not because you’re bad or rude to us, no, landy, just because of your spikes. They will stab us if we are close to you.” Said tito the rooster.

Landy felt lonely. Landy spent most of the time day dreaming at the river bank. “I would be happy if there were no spikes on my body.”

Suddenly, kuku the turtle appeared from the river. He came to landy and said, “landy, what are you thinking of?”

“oh, nothing.” Landy replied.

“don’t lie to me, landy! Who knows I can help you.” Said kuku  wisely. Then he sat beside landy. He wasn’t afraid of landy’s spikes.

Shortly, landy told his problem. Kuku nodded his head. He said. “poor you, but it isn’t your fault. I know your spikes are very usefull and helpful for you. They will realize it someday, trust me!”

Thanks, kuku, you are my best friend.”

One day, koko the frog held his birthday party. He invited all his friends, including landy. But he decided not to com. He didn’t want to mess up the party.

“I’ll come with you landy. I’ll tell everyone that you’re harmless.” Said kuku, finally landy attended the party. Everyone enjoyed it.

Suddenly tito screamed, “help…help…! The evil wolf is coming. Save yourself!” then, everyone saved their lives, except kuku and landy. Kuku pulled his head and his leg into his shell. And landy rolled his body into a ball.

Unintentionally, the evil wolf touched landy. Of course, the spikes pricked him. He screamed. “ouch!” since his foot was bleeding, he didn’t chase landy’s friend any longer. Then, he ran away.

“horray… horray…! Long live landy! He saved our lives.” Said cici and her friends. They thanked him from then on. Landy wasn’t lonely anymore.

Moral   : we don’t underestimate someone’s bad physical appearance and we must appreciate them

My Holiday

     Last holiday, my family and I vacationed to Jakarta. Before having a vacation we prepared first. The next day, we departed from Bandung to Jakarta in the early morning, it was because we didn't want to be stuck in traffic. After arrived in Jakarta we went to hotel to rest for a while. At that morning, the street already crowded with people. After three or five hours at the hotel then we decided to go to restaurant, and continue our vacation in Jakarta. We stayed in Jakarta for one week, after that we went to Semarang. After arriving at Semarang we went to hotel again, we took a shower and drank some welcome drink. It was 06.00 p.m, we were very enthusiastic to go to Lawang Sewu. After arriving at Lawang Sewu, we immediately joined with other traveler from inside and outside city. We took some photo together because so many historical item in Lawang Sewu. At 08.00 p.m, we go back to the hotel because tommorow we must go again to Yogyakarta. We stayed in Yogyakarta for three days. On the first day we went to merapi using a jeep. That is very fun, but the temperature is very cold because a lot of fog. On the next day we went to Goa Pindul. At Goa Pindul we play a few rides like rafting and tour around Goa Pindul. The last day we went to Candi Borobudur, the temple is very nice but the weather is not good because it's raining. After finish vacation to Jakarta,Semarang, and Yogyakarta we go back to Bandung because we must back to school again.

Butterfly

Butterflies are insects in the macrolepidopteran clade Rhopalocera from the order Lepidoptera, which also includes moths. Adult butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight. The group comprises the large superfamily Papilionoidea, which contains at least one former group, the skippers (formerly the superfamily "Hesperioidea"), and the most recent analyses suggest it also contains the moth-butterflies (formerly the superfamily "Hedyloidea"). Butterfly fossils date to the Paleocene, which was about 56 million years ago.

Butterflies have the typical four-stage insect life cycle. Winged adults lay eggs on the food plant on which their larvae, known as caterpillars, will feed. The caterpillars grow, sometimes very rapidly, and when fully developed, pupate in a chrysalis. When metamorphosis is complete, the pupal skin splits, the adult insect climbs out, and after its wings have expanded and dried, it flies off. Some butterflies, especially in the tropics, have several generations in a year, while others have a single generation, and a few in cold locations may take several years to pass through their entire life cycle.

Butterflies are often polymorphic, and many species make use of camouflage, mimicry and aposematism to evade their predators. Some, like the monarch and the painted lady, migrate over long distances. Many butterflies are attacked by parasites or parasitoids, including wasps, protozoans, flies, and other invertebrates, or are preyed upon by other organisms. Some species are pests because in their larval stages they can damage domestic crops or trees; other species are agents of pollination of some plants. Larvae of a few butterflies (e.g., harvesters) eat harmful insects, and a few are predators of ants, while others live as mutualists in association with ants. Culturally, butterflies are a popular motif in the visual and literary arts.

Aisyah:"Hi, Good Morning, Salma!"

Salma:"Hi, Morning, too! How are you?"

Aisyah:"As you can see, I'm perfectly fine, and you?"

Salma:"Me too, but i'm still a little bit upset with my math score."

Aisyah:"Oh, come on,you still did a really great job in the test!"

Salma:"Thank you, I heard you got the best score in class! Congratulations! You are really deserve      it!"

Aisyah:"Thankyou, Salma. You did amazing too!"

Salma:"Thankyou."

Aisyah:"By thr way, have you done your chemical homework?"

Salma:"The homework that is from student workbook?"

Aisyah:"Yes, it is."

Salma:"I haven't. Why? we still have a week to do it, right?"

Aisyah:"Right, but i don't really understand about it. I remember, you got highest score in the last chemical exam! Congratulations!"

Salma:"Haha, That was a long time ago! But, thankyou!"

Aisyah:"You're welcome. Do you mind to help me with it?"

Salma:"Of course! Let's study together, I'll help you with chemical, and you can help me with math."

Aisyah:"Sounds good! How about tomorrow, after the last class end?"

Salma:"Should we study at class or school library?"

Aisyah:"How about school library?"

Salma:"Cool!"
